Saint Léon is a predominately French-speaking agricultural community of approximately 100 residents located on the south-east corner of the Municipality of Lorne. It was established as a parish in 1879 and the church is still a vibrant part of the community.
The community is home of the first Wind Farm in Manitoba where 73 wind turbines grace the landscape and provide a huge economic benefit to the area.
St Leon is the head office and hardware store of the Pembina Consumers Co-op (2000) Ltd. Other business services in the area include a building construction, plumbing, post office, and a volunteer Fire Dept.
St Leon hosts part of the TransCanada Trail within the town limits with a trail that surrounds the lake for walking, hiking and just enjoying nature.
