Swan Lake is located on the edge of the beautiful Pembina Valley in the middle of the Municipality of Lorne. The small prairie town has a hospital, and an ambulance, paramedics, fire department and a Handi-van.
The Lion's Club has a beautiful campground with six serviced lots, which includes a washroom / shower house and a waste disposal station. Nearby is a children's playground within sight of the campsites.
There are two B & Bs – The Bunk House and Farm 57.
The Roman Catholic Church is the one church in town.
There are several businesses which include two grocery stores, lumber yard, flooring store, hardware, Swan Lake Hotel restaurant, Zinny’s Auto Spa car wash, insurance agent, hairdressers, memorial stone business and numerous construction companies. To meet your financial needs there is a Credit Union.
